It's no secret I'm a huge fan of adventure and seeing new things. In fact, it's the images I capture as I travel around (whether it be near or far), are what inspire me the most. It's when I feel myself come alive. As I pondered 2015 and what I wanted to accomplish in 2016, I decided one of the things I want to focus on is getting out more and sharing what I see all around me. Since most of the time I'm shooting weddings (which are AMAZING!), I wanted to provide myself the opportunity for some diverse photos. From this, an idea for J. Lee Field Trips was born. I have the pleasure of being able to travel several places, and I happen to live in the wonderful city of Los Angeles. There should be no shortage of things to get out and see :) I want to share my experiences with both friends and clients, which is why I'll be documenting them here on the blog. Thank you for coming along with me on this journey as I venture out to push myself more and express more of what I see is beautiful through my lens.
I thought there would be nothing better than beginning my first field trip on the last day of 2015. I've wanted to see the sunrise at Griffith Park for some time, and decided I needed to just commit to do it. So, it was first on my list. The other thing I've really wanted to do, but just haven't made the time to do it? See the LA flower market. Why? I absolutely adore love plants and flowers. It's one of my favorite things to photograph and I wanted to get some fresh flowers because they make me so incredibly happy. It's the small things, folks :)
